Here’s the big reveal: across every single age group we surveyed, from women in their 20s all the way to 65+, the #1 dream gift was the same thing: an engagement ring upgrade.
Not earrings. Not a necklace. Not even a tennis bracelet (though we’ll get to those in a minute). Between 24-33% of women in each age group said that if they could pick any piece of jewelry for Christmas, it would be an upgrade to their engagement ring.

- The other half was all about the classic Christmas morning surprise: that little box under the tree, the anticipation, the big reveal.
Interestingly, younger women (18-34) leaned more heavily toward the jewelry date idea: about 60% said they’d prefer shopping together. Women 45 and up were slightly more excited about the surprise element, though even then, it was close.
